Terms and Conditions Relating to Domain Name Registrations
As an official .uk domain name registrar Multi Media Machine Ltd register domain names for its customers.
Any .uk domain name registered by Multi Media Machine Ltd will enter the registrant into a contract with Nominet who are the domain name regulatory body for the United Kingdom. During a .uk domain name registration process Multi Media Machine Ltd are required to submit registrants details to Nominet and if the application is successful the domain name will be registered with those details.
Please read Nominet's Terms and Conditions before requesting a domain name registration. The registrant will need to accept these terms as part of the domain registration process.
Domain Name Charges
Multi Media Machine Ltd's new .uk domain name registrations are charged at £20 inclusive of VAT (unless package or special offers apply). Domain name renewals are biannual and Multi Media Machine Ltd will invoice the registrant 1 month before the renewal of the domain name via e-mail. The cost of a domain renewal for 2 years is £20 inclusive of VAT. Failure to renew the domain name will eventually lead to it becoming inactive and finally made available for others to register. Charges for domain name purchases and renewals are sent by Multi Media Machine Ltd who are an official registrar with Nominet.
Making Changes to a Domain Name
As a domain registrar Multi Media Machine Ltd make domain name modifications on the registrants behalf directly with Nominet but only for domains assigned to/registered through them. As a result your first port of call regarding any domain name matters should be with Multi Media Machine Ltd and not Nominet. Should the registrant wish to make any changes to their domain name configuration such as DNS server names, A record or MX record changes please send a signed fax from the registrant on letter-headed paper to Multi Media Machine Ltd on 01204 526260, stating all requests clearly, including any technical details accurately that are relevant to the changes and any time constraints associated with their completion. Multi Media Machine Ltd attempt to process all requests within 1 working day. Please note normal working hours are Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30, excluding English Bank Holidays and general office Christmas Holidays.
DNS Hosting
As part of the domain name service Multi Media Machine Ltd are responsible for making DNS name server setting changes for domain names. Put simply, DNS records are Internet signs joined to a domain name which tell all servers around the world where to find various services assigned to the domain; namely where to deliver e-mail and the location of the web site. Please follow the instructions above when making any changes regarding a domain name with Multi Media Machine Ltd.
Customer Service Costs Relating to Domain Names
Please note that Multi Media Ltd will not charge the registrant to make changes to domain name contact details, DNS settings or the transferral of the domain name to another registrar. However please note that if any debts are owed to Multi Media Machine Ltd at the time of the request, Multi Media Machine Ltd reserves the right to delay the changes until such time that the outstanding monies have been settled.
Changes to Charges
Should Multi Media Machine Ltd change the price of domain name renewals the registrant will be notified by e-mail or in writing to the address on record.
Complaints Procedure
If the registrant is unhappy with any part of the domain name registration or renewal and wish to lodge a complaint, please e-mail support@mmm.co.uk with any grievances or alternatively call on 01204 363688. Multi Media Machine Ltd aim to answer all questions within 2 working days.
